In other words, everyone of us has his own associations with this or that colour and as every colour has a wide range of variations (pigments), painters has a tremendous set of tinctures he is free to apply to;

Ancient Egypt Painting

The Ancient Egypt Painting had one of the strongest traditions developing simultaneously with architecture and sculpture. In the Ancient Egypt, mural temples and buildings were decorated with painted illustrations on papyrus manuscripts. So, the leading trends of the Egyptian painting were wall and decorative painting. This painting is defined by the symmetry. What's more, Egyptian painting was connected with Egyptian hieroglyphs. Actually, these written symbols were "painted" but not written on linen the oddments of which may be found even today.

The Ancient Egyptian painting was a part of the Egyptian culture that believed in the afterlife of dead person. The Egyptians believed in the journey throughout the world of dead and living there. Actually, the whole culture was based on the religious beliefs and rituals that connected the earthy living with extraterrestrial one. Several examples include the representation of gods Ra, Horus, Nut, Osiris and Isis.

The paintings were most often engraved on the burial and religious temples following the main peculiarities of the general Ancient Egyptian art. With the development of the Egyptian historical process, painting grew to be more and more refined and sophisticated.
